E' stato pubblicato ieri nel sito MARC 21 della Library of Congress (https://www.loc.gov/marc/up10_11bibliographic/bdapndxg.html)  l’Agg. N. 11 (Febbraio 2010) dei Formati MARC, cioè il primo dei due aggiornamenti previsti in via eccezionale per il 2010. L'aggiornamento include le modifiche risultanti dalle proposte prese in considerazione nello scorso gennaio 2010 dall'ALA ALCTS/LITA/RUSA Machine-Readable Bibliographic Information Committee (MARBI), dal Canadian Committee on MARC (CCM) e dal BIC Bibliographic Standards Group. Com’è noto la maggior parte di questi cambiamenti sono stati apportati per ospitare le nuove norme catalografiche RDA, Resource Description and Access. Sono segnati in rosso nei formati sia i cambiamenti previsti dal recente agg. N. 10 (Ottobre 2009) sia quelli dell’agg. N. 11 (Febbraio 2010). Gli utenti non sono tenuti ad applicare queste nuove disposizioni per un periodo di 60 giorni a decorrere dalla data della pubblicazione dell'aggiornamento, cioè fino al 5 maggio 2010.
